RBTR Institute is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit human services organization that provides essential therapeutic care to teenagers and adults with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and challenging behaviors. We specialize in supporting people who have had difficulty accessing services due to their complex behavioral profiles. We are particularly effective in cases where other providers have struggled to find solutions.
At RBTR Institute we are committed to helping every person we serve make progress. We achieve this goal through the hard work of our dedicated and specialized team. We carefully select staff who are not only passionate about helping people with challenging behaviors, but who also have the strength and confidence to support them with compassion. Every member of our team receives extensive and ongoing hands-on training in everything from implementing therapeutic programming to Safety-Care, CPR, and First Aid.
Our model of care follows an interdisciplinary approach based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavior Support (PBS). We implement evidence-based strategies to teach adaptive skills, with a strong focus on improving communication skills and practicing them in real-life settings. Our approach is deliberately proactive and emphasizes reinforcement-based methods. We also strategically re-design the environment of each person we serve to minimize challenging behaviors and maximize opportunities for teaching skills and independence.
We work closely with clinicians from other evidence-based therapies, including psychopharmacology, cognitive-behavioral therapy, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, and physical therapy.
We take pride in transforming the quality of life for those we serve. Our approach has a proven track record helping people:
We support individuals for both short-term and long-term needs. Our services can serve as a bridge program to help initiate support, train stakeholders, and collaborate with teams to design permanent services. We also offer long-term placement for those who need it.
We provide therapeutic support to teenagers and adults with autism who have had difficulty accessing services due to their complex behavioral profiles. We also aim to empower their families to help their loved ones reach their full potential.
